RAVE 0004 [Video]

[ravelt]

[When the camera clicks on, it first pans over to what looks like a desolate wasteland. There are bodies and body parts strewn everywhere, craters marring the landscape, and the only thing breaking the erie silence was a strong breeze occasionally cutting across the land.

Suddenly, the camera shifts, giving an up close and personal look of someone's purple iris. It then pans back, revealing Haru making a skeptical face at the journal, as he tries to get it to work. He uses it so infrequently for making posts he still barely has an idea of how to use it properly. Thankfully, he takes notice that the thing seems to be working.]

Ah, cool! It's working! [He flashes a big grin at the camera as he puts the journal down on the ground.

He pauses for a moment, contemplating what exactly he's going to say now that he's got the chance to say it. It's really something he should have considered BEFORE turning on the journal, but, ah well. Spur of the moment ideas and all that. Finally, he opts to speak up.]

Hey, some of you guys out there use the Battle Dome pretty regularly, right? I was wonderin' if I could borrow some of your training simulations? I had one that was workin' out pretty well for me there for a while, I guess it's gettin' to be too easy for me now. That's probably a sign I need somethin' different now, right? [Another big, happy grin.] So you got any cool ideas?

[He ends the recording there, and sets up a few (poorly done) filters.]

Hey Shuda, I was wondering if you could give me some help with my training, too.

[Filtered to Vegeta | 30% unhackable]

Hey, Mr. Vegeta! I got the hang of that thing!

[Filtered to Elie | 30% unhackable]

Hey Elie, umm...

[he cuts off his sentence early on that last one.]

[He grins widely. Vegeta's praising him, in his own stupid Vegeta way.]

Heheh, toldja I'd get it. I've still got a long way to go, though.

[misterbrief]

[His eyes find where the tree once stood, then looking back at Haru.]

So, who did you get to show you how to do that? I know you didn't do that all on your own. [He doesn't think that little demonstration he did way back when would have been enough to teach Haru how to do that much.]

[ravelt]

Huh? You did, remember? I took the example you showed me and just kept tryin' to do the same thing. [It was a road to success paved by many failures.]

[misterbrief]

That little bit wouldn't of been enough. Are you really trying to tell me you managed to blast an entire tree like that with one simple demonstration?

[He doesn't believe it.]

[ravelt]

Well, I've been practicing every day! It took me a lot of work just to get to this point, really. Before, I was always blowin' myself up instead of the tree. But then one day, it just kinda... clicked!

[And then he started blowing up trees from that day on.]

[misterbrief]

And somehow I'm not surprised you were just 'blowin yourself up'. [He rolls his eyes. Sigh @ u, Haru.]

Have you figured out how to fly then?

[ravelt]

...How to what now? [He didn't just mishear you there, Vegeta, right? Did you just say "fly"?]

[misterbrief]

I don't believe I stuttered, now did I? [Now who isn't paying attention!]

[ravelt]

You didn't say I could learn to fly!

[misterbrief]

That isn't my problem that you couldn't figure that one out. Yes, you moron, if you can do that you should be able to fly already. [Gosh Haru, that's like learning to run before you walk.]

But I don't know. You'd probably manage to get yourself stuck in a tree, or wedged between some rocks or something.

[ravelt]

No way, I'll totally get it! If I've got this, then flying should be a piece of cake for me to learn!

[Fucking Vegeta, you're worse than Shuda.]

[misterbrief]

[Who's Shuda and even if he knew he wouldn't give a f-]

Is that so? Well, why don't you go ahead and tell me what you plan to do about that then.

[ravelt]

I'm gonna train and learn to fly, just like I did with this, that's what!

[misterbrief]

[He gets this awful, horrible idea.]

Why don't I give you a little introduction then to get you started?

[ravelt]

[Gasp, Vegeta-senpai will show him a few pointers?!]

[misterbrief]

Good. Now come here for a second, while I explain this to you so hopefully you get it right the first time. I wouldn't want to see you fail, now would I?

[ravelt]

[Haru comes over to Vegeta. Oh boy oh boy gonna learn something from Vegeta.]

[misterbrief]

[He'll explain while Haru is coming over.]

Now, all that energy you've managed to control can be directed through your body to stabilize it in the air. You might want to think about forcing it underneath yourself to stay hovering, to say the least. Now.

[And when Haru get close enough, Vegeta will very quickly reach out to try to grab Haru right around his neck.]

Let's see how you do.

[And if he does get a hold of Haru, he's just going to...throw him as far up in the air as the room will allow. He's shounen, he can take it.]

[ravelt]

[Your attempt at grabbing Haru won't end in success there, Vegeta. Even though he may not look like it, you're dealing with a trained warrior with extremely honed reflexes here. The moment Vegeta reaches out to him, he just as quickly dodges to the side.]

The heck're you tryin' to do?!

[You should give warning if you're going to try something like that, Vegeta.]

[misterbrief]

[Darn. He tried.]

Giving you a little lift, that's all. How do you think Trunks learned to fly?

[Even though Trunks probably already knew how, but details.]

[ravelt]

Oh. Well, you shoulda said so, then!

[Sometimes, sometimes, he cannot comprehend Haru's thinking capacity. He just can't. Just...]

[...Oh well. If that's all it took, then this simpleton will certainly get it now. Though now that Haru's given permission, it certainly doesn't make it nearly as fun.

Then I guess I'm saying so. Now don't squirm and we'll try it out. Get back over here.

[ravelt]

Roger! [Aaaaand now he's standing in front of Vegeta. Ready and waiting, sir.]

[misterbrief]

[Well, he doesn't really have to grab Haru by the neck now, so instead he just grabs the back of his shirt as long as Haru lets it happen, he'll lift the boy and well...
