ravelt | RAVE 0004 [Video]

[When the camera clicks on, it first pans over to what looks like a desolate wasteland. There are bodies and body parts strewn everywhere, craters marring the landscape, and the only thing breaking the erie silence was a strong breeze occasionally cutting across the land.

Suddenly, the camera shifts, giving an up close and personal look of someone's purple iris. It then pans back, revealing Haru making a skeptical face at the journal, as he tries to get it to work. He uses it so infrequently for making posts he still barely has an idea of how to use it properly. Thankfully, he takes notice that the thing seems to be working.]

Ah, cool! It's working! [He flashes a big grin at the camera as he puts the journal down on the ground.

He pauses for a moment, contemplating what exactly he's going to say now that he's got the chance to say it. It's really something he should have considered BEFORE turning on the journal, but, ah well. Spur of the moment ideas and all that. Finally, he opts to speak up.]

Hey, some of you guys out there use the Battle Dome pretty regularly, right? I was wonderin' if I could borrow some of your training simulations? I had one that was workin' out pretty well for me there for a while, I guess it's gettin' to be too easy for me now. That's probably a sign I need somethin' different now, right? [Another big, happy grin.] So you got any cool ideas?

[He ends the recording there, and sets up a few (poorly done) filters.]

Hey Shuda, I was wondering if you could give me some help with my training, too.

Hey, Mr. Vegeta! I got the hang of that thing!

[he cuts off his sentence early on that last one.]

No way, I'll totally get it! If I've got this, then flying should be a piece of cake for me to learn!

[Fucking Vegeta, you're worse than Shuda.]

You got really quiet.

[Hand-holding...?! Have to do this, then...!]

Mushrooms? Umm... I guess they taste alright? [What a weird question...]

[Yep! Here he comes, racing up towards him. And you know what? If he is able to catch up to Haru, he'll leap up above him and playfully kick him into the ground.]

Oh... did I? [There's a nervous laugh/] I didn't mean to. I thought you were going to ask something else, but you kinda blindsided me with what you actually asked.

[There's a pause, but after a moment, she responds again.]

But I'd like that. I mean, you sorta owe me anyway for the free peep show you got when we first met! [Followed by a laugh; that last part is a joke. Any time spent with Haru ~alone~ is fine with her!]

[Rather than respond verbally, however, Shuda simply pulls out his sword in a single fluid movement and charges right for Haru.

PRACTICE START.]

[It was a good enough answer.

Cliff grinned slyly-- he had ideas now.]

Hah. You'll be changing your tune about that soon enough.

[The bad thing about running at breakneck speeds is that if you take a fall, your momentum's going to keep you going. When Lee kicks Haru into the ground, he goes tumbling forward at high speed in a cloud of dust and dirt, and that cloud is now rolling straight at Lee. Better dodge if you don't want to get sucked in, Lee!]

[That's just like Shuda. Man, he remembers when you used to be a cocky bastard, Shuda. Still, he knows actions speak way louder than words, and so he pulls Ravelt off his back and charges at Shuda, making a sweeping swing.]

...Huh? [Now he's just confused.]

Oh man... [Well, now he feels bad for that last part. He doesn't realize she's joking.] If I'd known that bothered that much, I would've paid you back a long time ago.

[Who's Shuda and even if he knew he wouldn't give a f-]

Is that so? Well, why don't you go ahead and tell me what you plan to do about that then.

[SHE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN HE'D TAKE IT SERIOUSLY.]

...Haru I was joking. It doesn't bother me at all!

Speed tests. With mushrooms.

[He had a hunch that this was either going to be too silly for Haru's taste, or that Haru was going to hate him (and mushrooms) by the end of it.

Mushrooms really were no laughing matter.]

I'm gonna train and learn to fly, just like I did with this, that's what!

Huh? But you--!

[Oh... she was joking around. He should've known that, she likes to joke around a lot...]

Oh...

[And then he starts to laugh. It's a joke, so he should laugh at her, clearly.]

Speed tests with mushrooms? [Umm...]

...Okay, whatever, bring it on!

Just gimme some time to program it in first. I'll get back to ya when it's all set up. Deal?

[This is why she likes your dumb face Haru.]

But I might go back and collect eventually. Just not now.

[He gets this awful, horrible idea.]

Why don't I give you a little introduction then to get you started?

[Wow suddenly things are obeying the laws of physics, what'a up with that.

But for Lee, it makes another obstacle. He dashes forth and will do his best to outrun this horrifying cloud.]

[Too slow, Haru. It's a piece of cake for Shuda to anticipate that movement and dodge it exactly the same way he did the very first time the two of them fought: by doing a flip right over Haru's head to land behind him, twisting around midair so that he's facing the boy's back when he comes down.

He's not pulling any punches, that much is for certain.]

[It appears to be picking up speed now, Lee, advancing towards you.]

[Haru switches over to Silfarion now. The moment Shuda lands, Haru uses his speed to loop around so he's now behind Shuda.]

[Gasp, Vegeta-senpai will show him a few pointers?!]
