ravelt | RAVE 0004 [Video]

[When the camera clicks on, it first pans over to what looks like a desolate wasteland. There are bodies and body parts strewn everywhere, craters marring the landscape, and the only thing breaking the erie silence was a strong breeze occasionally cutting across the land.

Suddenly, the camera shifts, giving an up close and personal look of someone's purple iris. It then pans back, revealing Haru making a skeptical face at the journal, as he tries to get it to work. He uses it so infrequently for making posts he still barely has an idea of how to use it properly. Thankfully, he takes notice that the thing seems to be working.]

Ah, cool! It's working! [He flashes a big grin at the camera as he puts the journal down on the ground.

He pauses for a moment, contemplating what exactly he's going to say now that he's got the chance to say it. It's really something he should have considered BEFORE turning on the journal, but, ah well. Spur of the moment ideas and all that. Finally, he opts to speak up.]

Hey, some of you guys out there use the Battle Dome pretty regularly, right? I was wonderin' if I could borrow some of your training simulations? I had one that was workin' out pretty well for me there for a while, I guess it's gettin' to be too easy for me now. That's probably a sign I need somethin' different now, right? [Another big, happy grin.] So you got any cool ideas?

[He ends the recording there, and sets up a few (poorly done) filters.]

Hey Shuda, I was wondering if you could give me some help with my training, too.

Hey, Mr. Vegeta! I got the hang of that thing!

Hey Elie, umm...

[he cuts off his sentence early on that last one.]

[That... is definitely new. Shuda tenses, ready to either attack or dodge at a moment's notice, but makes no move just yet until he figures out what Haru is up to, single eye focused intently on that glowing energy.]

[Once the energy orb has reaches an acceptable size, which takes a moment as Haru hasn't developed the skill yet to do it quickly, he launches the orb towards Shuda in an arcing motion, sending it flying around and coming in at his right. At the same time, the moment it does, Haru switches to using Silfarion, speeding it to strike at Shuda's left.]

[Clever indeed, and Shuda has to give Haru credit for that. There's only one way for him to dodge now, and that's by leaping up, which also leaves him more open to attack than he'd like.

Sword in hand, he readies it to strike just in case Haru tries to take advantage of his current position, preparing his own counterattack for when he lands.]

[Haru has a feeling Shuda's got some sort of counterattack readied. He knows Shuda's got more than enough to do something like that. That's why he opts to switch to Explosion, and actually strike the energy blast itself, knocking it upward in Shuda's direction. At the same moment, due to the density of the energy, it causes an explosion on impact, creating a smokescreen obscuring its trajectory.]

[Haru knows Shuda quite well, yes; he's fast on his feet and skilled at aerial attacks, but even so, there's no way he can dodge that blast of energy in mid-air. It hits him dead on and knocks him off-balance, forcing him to drop his guard for a split second in order to right himself and land...]

[Next attack coming up is...

...Well, he actually doesn't have one. Instead, he backs off now, giving Shuda time to recover. He doesn't feel right attacking an enemy who can't defend themselves, especially in a friendly duel.]

[Shuda is back on his feet with Tenkuuzakura raised in a matter of seconds and waiting for Haru's next attack. When it doesn't come, he raises a curious eyebrow at his student, yet doesn't let down his guard.]

You're getting the hang of this.

Thanks. [He pauses to stretch a bit now. That last maneuver was a bit of a doozy, and he has to shake off the recoil Explosion gave him.]

...You ready to keep going?

That's good to hear! Soon, you will get a taste of what it's like to fight the Cultists of the Third Party!

[The Cultists... He's heard talk about them and the Third Party. He even went on one of the drafts, but... he can't really say he had much of an experience with them. Everything was kind of just blowing up on that draft and he didn't get much of a look at his enemies.]

Alright, then I'll show you what I'm made of!

[Now's your chance to back out, Haru. Shuda can keep this going as long as you can and more.]

[The Cultists are generated and begin swooping towards them! Although these Cultists may look a little... different then imagined. They have bird heads and scaled lizard tails along with massive bat wings. And as they descend, they breathe fire.]

[The heck are those?! THOSE are what the Cultists look like?! Well, no matter. They've still gotta go down!

Skidding to a halt, and still using Silfarion, Haru swings at empty air, sending blades of air at each target. Once he's created enough shockwaves, he changes the swords form to Explosion, a long red edgeless blade. Doing that, the moment the shockwaves collide with their targets, they erupt into fiery explosions.]

No way. I'm just gettin' started!

[keep dreaming, Shuda.]

[Rock Lee watches proudly, with his hands on his hips.]

Such impressive moves! Keep up the good work!
